The largest of the islands, Tenerife is a great location to enjoy a calm holiday surrounded by enchanting nature. The landscape here is diverse and you will find everything here: secret bays with exotic black volcanic sand, long golden beaches, deep ravines, huge cliffs, stunning woods, volcanic landscapes shaped into curious shapes and designs by the lava, and green valleys of banana plantations, and so much more.
The capital is Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which is lively and cosmopolitan yet typical city with its distinct culture, gastronomy and heritage. The main features of the city are Garcia Sanabria and Aclimatacion-both striking gardens, the port-, which is the town centre of activity, the museum of archaeology, Iglesia de la Concepcion, and the Castillo de Paso Alto.
Head out of your hotel room- go on the splendid beaches of white or exotic volcanic sand, a dip in the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean and forget the world. Horse riding, diving, walking, trekking, fishing, paragliding, windsurfing…these are just some of the several activities that you can enjoy here. Take a stroll through the charming historic La Laguna district, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.
The Tenerife auditorium is located near the waterfront in Santa Cruz, which is the capital of Tenerife. This hall is situated between the Marine Park and the edge of the port which has become the significant feature of the civilization there. The island is home to the El Teide National Park, which features a stunning landscape fashioned by the volcanic mountain of El Teide. The mountain is the highest in Spain, and cable car rides are available to go up the mountain and for a view of the crater. |
