In 1961, this area was declared a historic, artistic monument. The remains of the ancient, fortified Roman city of “Lucentum” can be found here. The whole area spans an area of 30,000sq. Km, and is still it still is under being excavated as there is much more to discover.
Tourists can go for a stroll through the site for a glimpse of the remains of the ancient fountains, domes, hot springs, shops etc, and guided tours are available on request.
