Remains from the ancient town featuring narrow winding alleys and lanes and typical building structures are still evident in the old quarter. The City Hall or the Palacio Municipal stands out prominently amongst these buildings.
The grand structure is an excellent example of Baroque architecture with two original twin towers. The highlight of a visit to the city hall is the “Cota Cero”- a circular disc placed at the foot of the main staircase. All the altitudes in Spain are measured with this disc as the reference point. The Blue Rooms and the Salon de Planos are also worth a look.
